Don’t Wait Until You Are Locked Out

We know that misfortunes happen; you forget your keys in your protected home. You may regret if you forget to check and ensure that all the windows are locked at home while leaving. There are many kinds of lock / electronic key locks that are available but you only need to keep them safely with you. There can be different kind of services like Residential Locksmith Service, Commercial service and School and campus etc. In emergency, you should take time to find a reliable locksmith. Locksmith scams tend to target home and auto owners at first place.

I want to share this list of questions with a piece of advice weather it is Automotive Locksmith or others. Take everything with a grain of salt. Nothing is certain in life. There might be exceptions to these rules. You only have time on your hands.

Before Hiring A Locksmith, Ask these Questions: -

If a locksmith service provider cannot provide detailed answer, don’t hire them.

  • Ask about their location / locations and license. If you ask their name and they answer general name like – “Locksmith service”, just move on, don’t hire them.
  • Check level of their trained technicians.
  • How will you get inside of the house? Will you drill the lock? Ask for the exact process.
  • Ask for the estimate. What factors may cause the price to change? If they do not give you written estimate, than it might be scam.
  • What mode of payment do you accept?
  • Ask the name of the locksmith who will be coming and check his ID card.

If you think you've been overcharged or scammed by a locksmith, contact your state attorney general's office. Many state offices employ additional staff to facilitate between customers and businesses. Some may also chase lawsuit to recover funds for victims.
